Webinar with Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland

In this webinar, we hosted Prof. Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland, head of Innovative Immersive Technologies for Learning (IMTEL) research group and VR/AR lab (IMTELlab). The presentation showcased a collaborative project with NAV and researchers that uses innovative technology for young job seekers.

Virtual Internship and the EU Erasmus+ project VR4VET are collaborations between NTNU (IMTEL), NAV, Trøndelag County Municipality, local industry, and international partners. The collaboration has resulted in VR-based solutions for career guidance for young job seekers. The solutions are currently used in more than 20 NAV offices, as well as in schools. This presentation briefly summarises experiences from the collaboration since 2017, including VR applications for “immersive job taste” and job interview training, as well as new solutions currently under development with AI integration. We discussed how VR and AI can support practice-oriented innovation in NAV and research on the future of career guidance.
