Title: Information overload – A case study of using an integrated electronic health record system in the emergency room
Abstract: Imagine making life-or-death decisions under extreme time pressure, relying on a digital system to provide the right information instantly. This talk takes you inside the Emergency Room (ER) in Trondheim, Norway, where the Helseplattformen is used as an integrated electronic health record system. Discover how ER physicians use Helseplattformen to coordinate care across disciplines – while facing challenges like information overload and the stress of quickly retrieving critical information. Learn how the ER’s unique demands push systems like Helseplattformen to their limits and what it means to design such systems.
