Our Digital Publics group had a range of contributions to the ECSCW 2024 conference that was held in Rimini, Italy, during June 21-27 this summer. Here you can find an overview of these contributions.
ECSCW is one of the main events that we at DigiPub contribute to each year. This year’s ECSCW 2024 at Rimini, Italy, was not an exception, and we had several contributions to the conference program:
- We started on Monday with the workshop “Practices of Participation and Co-Creation in Healthcare: Lessons Learned and Advancements of Established Methodologies” where Babak was a co-organizer. This workshop contained a keynote by Rob Procter of the university of Warwick. We then had several presentations and discussion throughout the day. Workshop program is available here. You can also download the workshop description from the EUSSET library here.
- On Tuesday, Michaela and Nora, together with Monica Divitini and Hilda Tellioğlu, organize a workshop called “Infrastructure and Creativity: Can they co-exist?” This workshop was a continuation of a seminar we held in TU Wien in November 2023. The workshop description can be downloaded from the EUSSET digital library.
- On Wednesday Babak presented the journal of CSCW paper “Using a service lens to better understand practices – and vice versa” written together with Marius.
- On Friday, Michaela presented the paper “The impact of digitalization on frontline employees’ knowledge work – a literature review” which is part of her PhD thesis work.
Beyond the contributions above, Babak was also the co-organizer of EUSSET early career meeting on Thursday together with prof. Claudia Müller and prof. Khuloud Abou Amsha.
We are looking forward to the next ECSCW, which will be held in Newcastle, UK!
