PhD candidate Michaela Schmidt from our SustainDiT project will talk about digital public encounters, highlighting important aspects of users meeting with public services on digital channels. This talk is for both academics and practitioners.
Last week we had the pleasure of getting together in the SustainDiT project group together with our advisory group.
Silvia Masiero from the department of informatics at the university of Oslo is visiting us on January 10 for an invited talk, seminar and discussions. She will talk about her ongoing research around digital identities, their fairness, and their impact on sociotechnical practices.
On December 9 I participated in the CNoW workshop “Changing nature of work- Reshaping human endeavors with digital technologies.” The workshop was part of ICIS 2023 in Hyderabad. It was an online workshop attended by approximately 25 people. I presented a position paper in a program consisting of ten paper presentations.
We co-organized a full-day seminar on how infrastructures and creativity affect each other. The seminar was in cooperation with the Technical University of Vienna and our Digital Publics group at IDI, NTNU. Michaela, Nora, Babak, and Monica from IDI held short presentations.
Our project SustainDiT will have its yearly seminar on January 11. During this day we will present our latest results to our reference group, and discuss further directions for the project.

On October 2, 2023, Morteza gave a short presentation of our preliminary results related to agile team autonomy to NAV. The presentation highlights the tension between team autonomy and the required organizational boundary work.
My first academic activity in Vienna during my sabbatical was to attend the summer school organized by my colleague Hilda Tellioğlu and her group. I presented our newly published SIPA toolbox in a four-hour seminar to around 20 PhD students from a diverse disciplinary background.
We organized a workshop on the topic of digital public encounters as part of the pre-conference workshop program of the ECSCW in Trondheim. The conference attracted participants from Norway and abroad. Several cases were presented by the participants, and a brainstorming session concluded the workshop.
